Team Practices
Shell Shocker conduct two types of practices—Skills Practices and Tournament Practices.
Skills Practices are conducted by assigned Practice Groups—Red/White/Blue which are designed to be reflective of age, division, experience, and ability. Separation into Practice Groups allows coaches to focus on the needs relative to the experience of the group and make the practice more effective and also give the best opportunity to advance each athlete. Skills Practices are primarily held during the off-season and pre-season—however, in-season skills practices are likely and possible as needed and as team event schedule allows.
Tournament Practices are conducted collectively as a team in assigned squads. Tournament Practices are conducted during the active season and focus on preparation for an upcoming tournament in a specific game of Trap, Skeet, or Sporting Clays. Tournament practices are primarily held on Sunday afternoons at 2-4p on weekends during the season without a scheduled Saturday Tournament event.
